Emily Hosford

OTD, OTR/L

Emily earned her doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from Pacific University and holds a bachelor’s degree in Applied Behavioral Science with a concentration in Early Autism Intervention from the University of Kansas. She has worked with neurodiverse children for more than 10 years and further deepened her passion for pediatric therapy throughout her OT journey. Emily is currently certified as an Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist (ASDCS).

Emily has experience supporting children from infancy through adolescence with a wide range of physical, emotional, and developmental needs in both community and school-based settings. Most recently, she collaborated with parents and interdisciplinary therapists at one of Oregon’s major hospitals to develop feeding resources for autistic children. She is passionate about helping every child experience the joy of childhood while empowering families to feel supported along the way. Emily is trained in the SOS Approach to Feeding, and has helped many families reduce the stress around mealtimes.

Known for her playful, child-centered approach, Emily loves incorporating fun, creativity, and connection into therapy sessions. She enjoys being a part of the Little Hands Therapy team because of its commitment to child-led, family-centered care. Emily values each family’s unique goals and experiences and enjoys partnering with caregivers from diverse cultural backgrounds to provide meaningful, individualized support.

In her free time, Emily enjoys playing outside and adventuring with her dog, Nellie.
