Amie Smith

MOT, OTR/L

Amie is a pediatric occupational therapist passionate about helping children and families build confidence, connection, and meaningful participation in everyday life. She earned her Master of Occupational Therapy from Dominican University of California and previously completed a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies with a minor in Developmental Disabilities from the University of Nevada, Reno.

Amie believes therapy is most effective when children feel safe, supported, and empowered to be themselves. She values creating sessions that are engaging, individualized, and built around each child’s strengths.

Amie works with children from toddlerhood through adolescence and has experience supporting a wide variety of developmental, sensory, emotional, and executive functioning needs. As a Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist, she is especially passionate about neurodiversity-affirming and family-centered care. She enjoys incorporating play, movement, sensory strategies, and collaborative problem-solving to help children develop skills that support success across home, school, and community settings.

Originally from a small town in Nevada, Amie understands the importance of connection and community and values building relationships with the families she serves. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her dog, Decoy, paddleboarding, hiking, exploring new places, and spending time with friends over good food and music.
